How to use the Revlon Hair Dryer Brush - honest review and tutorial
What is the Revlon One-Step Volumizer and Hairbrush?
It is a genius product - is what it really is :)
It is a hairdryer + hot round airbrush combo that delivers gorgeous volume and brilliant shine in a single step. It is a hair tool that helps you get that blowout look that you get in the hair salon but at home.
The great thing about it is that it is built to provide just the right amount of heat. Unlike conventional hair dryers, this volumizer can be placed closer to the scalp for lift. And because it is boosted by Ionic Technology, hair dries fast and helps reduce heat damage.
This is so important! Depending on what type of hair you have, you might have to use several different hair tools to get that hair salon blowout look. Using all those heat hair tools is so damaging to our hair.
I have naturally curly hair. I prefer to wear it straight and I do maybe 90% of the time. Before finding the Revlon hairdryer brush, I used a straightener to straighten my hair. Now that I think about it, I cringe… crushing my hair between two sizzling plates of ceramic and simply burning it into a straight line is not something I can see myself doing ever again. But I did…. for so many years. I also tried the good old hairdryer and a round brush way. And all I ended up with always was a “poodle” frizzy hair mess and a sore arm for days after that.
Check out my YouTube video here and see how I use the Revlon Hairdryer Brush to straighten my hair in less than 15 minutes. Yes, it is that fast! I show the step-by-step how to straighten your hair using the Revlon Hair Dryer round brush. Get yours here.

How does the Revlon One-Step Hair Dryer & Volumizer Work?
You need to let your hair dry about 85-90%, it minimizes the damage to your hair that way. Section off your hair and wrap the sections around the brush and gently pull it through. With the Revlon hairdryer brush, you are able to create many different styles. If you pull the brush straight down as you pull, you will end up with pin-straight hair. If you wish to add a bit of a wave, you will need to round up your brush as you pull your hair section. Sort of what I do in my video.

I have also tried so many hair products and I have finally decided to invest in some that are a bit pricier but so good for the hair and so worth spending a bit more money on. I have been on a journey to find the best product for my hair, and I am so happy I finally did.
Here are the products I use on my hair:
I wash my hair using BIOLAGE Hydrasource Shampoo and BIOLAGE Colorlast Conditioner
I then use this Olaplex No 6 Bond Smoother. This is an amazing product. I use only a pea size of the product and it is amazing. Strengthens, hydrates, moisturizes, and speeds up blow-dry times while smoothing. It also helps eliminate frizz and flyways.
I then apply the Olaplex No.7 Bonding Oil - Repairs damaged and compromised hair. Strengthens and protects hair structure. I only apply it to the ends of my hair.
Heat protectant is so important when using any hot air tools. This Amika Blockade Heat Defense Serum was highly recommended to me by my hairdresser and after reading all the awesome reviews and trying it eventually for myself, I now know exactly why this is a great product. Not greasy at all and it does not weigh down the hair like most heat protectants I find to do. And it also has the best fragrance that I wish can be bottled and used as perfume ??.
I then brush my hair with the best brush ever. This Crave naturals glide through detangling brush is amazing for adults and kids hair.
Once a week, I also use the Olaplex Hair Perfector No 3 Repairing Treatment. I leave it in for as long as I am able to. The longer you leave this hair mask on, the better. It makes such a huge difference in how my hair looks and feels.

I highly recommend the Revlon hair dryer brush. I am so happy I found a way to give myself that "salon blow-out" look with the help of only one hot tool and is also easy to use and not damaging to my hair!
